To make this happen, we at Steinigke Showtechnic launched a system back in 2002 that enables DJs and rental companies to put on an impressive light show quickly and easily: the compact light sets – also known as KLS.

Since then, the principle of the compact light set has not changed: Various spots are attached to a bar. Nowadays, in addition to the basic lighting, these also hold additional show effects for the party atmosphere. The aim was and still is to provide you with a lighting system that, as an absolute lightweight, is particularly suitable for mobile use – and helps you conjure up the perfect light show for a party.

In recent years, however, a lot has happened regarding lighting technology and the design of the optimal lighting system for a party: Nowadays, for example, conventional light sources are replaced by LEDs, which allow, for example, spotlights to shine in different colors. Therefore, we have also lent a hand in the design and equipment of the KLS: Of course, our compact light sets are equipped with modern LEDs. This enables a wider choice of colors with lower power consumption. In addition to simple models with classic spotlights, KLS with various additional lighting effects is also available for you to choose from. Are you in the mood for mushrooms or rather derbies? You can even purchase light sets with class 2M lasers for your next event. Good to know: Light sets equipped with a Class 2M laser do not require registration in Germany, nor do they need to be monitored by a laser safety officer. But do not worry: Despite these various available light effects, the light set is still quick and easy to set up and dismantle – and, thus, ideally complements the equipment of mobile DJs, for example.

Not only in terms of LEDs and light sources, a lot has changed in the light sets. There have also been practical innovations in the various control options. In addition to IR remote controls, you as a DJ have various other options for controlling the lighting system. No matter whether you operate the KLS in stand-alone mode, control it with a foot switch, by music control, by microphone or with QuickDMX via USB: The light sets offer the right operation for every need. Of course, the light sets are also equipped with a mains input and often a mains output for easy interconnection of up to eight light sets.
