19” Racks

Racks were originally developed as a type of cabinet during the early days of telecommunications at the beginning of the last century. As early as 1922, the racks, which were 19 inches in size, were used by the US telecommunications company AT&T to organize the amplifiers and repeaters in the company's telephone exchange and were thus introduced to the industry. The electrical equipment needed to establish a telephone connection between customers was installed in the 19-inch racks. This created space in the cramped rooms. Only a few years later, these dimensions had become the standard. Nowadays, the field of application of 19-inch racks is no longer limited to telecommunications or use as a network cabinet. The rack cases are used in event technology in particular - and meet the requirements of customers at events of all sizes.

Racks in event technology

There is therefore no question that you will also find a selection of 19-inch racks in our online store. The cases by our ROADINGER brand are suitable for control and effects units as well as amplifiers. In principle, the flight cases are designed for the installation of 483 mm devices. They are also available in different height units (HE) and therefore offer space for a variety of different devices. Thanks to these dimensions, it is possible to install different variants of effects units, amplifiers, and the like in the rack cases. The lids can be removed for optimum use of the built-in technology. This solution allows, for example, the optimal operation and use of electrical devices such as mixers. In addition, your equipment is safely stowed away for transportation as well as during use and storage and the equipment is securely protected in the cases.

The cases have a sturdy aluminum profile frame, which also has rounded corners or medium-sized steel ball corners. The multi-layer glued plywood ensures stability and reliably protects your equipment from any damage. Steel-reinforced rubber feet, built-in rack rails, and lockable butterfly locks also contribute to the high-quality finish of the racks. The racks are also fitted with chrome-plated case folding handles.

Also in our assortment is a plastic rack. The hard-shell flight case is stable and lightweight as well as shock and scratch-resistant. Designed for control and effects units, the rack is available in various height units. An aluminum profile frame also contributes to the necessary stability. Also part of the case's high-quality equipment: mini butterfly locks for the latches, built-in rack rails, slide rails, and two aluminum carrying handles. The rack case also has two removable lids. This open design enables simple, uncomplicated cable routing. Another plus point is the low weight of the rack.
