Matrix effects are light effects that display graphic patterns or sequences. The simplest form of matrix spotlights are classic chases, which run in one or more colors. More complex designs can be realized with pixel-controlled effects. Multiple light strips mounted directly next to or on top of each other on the stage thus create a visually appealing and versatile background.

Simple matrix effects are usually controlled by DMX, for more complex patterns and pixel-controlled graphic representations we recommend control with the MADRIX software.

Matrix Spots

They are more than just simple spotlights: Matrix LED spotlights provide colors and graphic effects on stage, in a club, or a theater - and always in new and innovative ways. The lighting effects can display graphic patterns or sequences, for example, to match the set design or the piece of music being performed. The name matrix LED spotlights is derived from the fact that several lenses or LEDs are arranged in a matrix, i.e. a rectangular pattern. With most devices in this category, the pixels or lenses can be controlled individually so that amazing pixel effects and patterns can be created within the matrix.

Matrix effects can be used, pixel by pixel, to enhance the performance of a band, the scenery of a theater performance, or even the colorful hustle and bustle in a club. Different colors and effects can also be used, such as a strobe effect. By using matrix spotlights in the stage background, dynamic, and constantly changing backgrounds can be created that visually captivate the audience. The lighting effects can be controlled in sync with the music, creating an immersive experience that enhances the emotional impact of the performance.

Our range includes various Matrix LED spotlights in oblong or rectangular designs. The EUROLITE LED IP Atmo Blinder 9, for example, is a weatherproof blinder with pixel control and Atmo cluster. It is fitted with 3x3 powerful WW/CW LEDs, each in a reflector, plus a ring of RGB LEDs around each reflector. This eye-catching effect can be used as a classic blinder or as a colorful pixel effect. The colors can be mixed continuously and the change between the colors can be adjusted.
