These multifunctional speakers bear the suffix “Pro”. Although they have a similar power spectrum as the present tops, they weigh far less and offer additional features. The PAS Pro's weight is up to a third lower than that of their popular peers, and for a relatively low extra charge you get a much more balanced sound.
First class PTC resistors (resistors with positive temperature coefficients) efficiently protect the built-in P.Audio tweeters against overload. The subsequent tweeter must only provide a limited performance and is saved from an early death.
Four additional rubber feet are included for floor use avoiding unwanted scratch marks on the enclosure.
Since March 2004, the PAS has been an integral part of the Omnitronic range. As it has been used for rental and installed for numerous times, they may well be considered as modern classics. The PAS series is a state-of-the-art solution for small to medium events and still comes at an outstanding price-performance ratio.
In the meantime, the well-known series consists of nine subwoofers. Thanks to their different building types they offer a huge variety.
Bassreflex subwoofers are mainly used for small to medium- sized rooms and small open-air events. They react directly and precisely, but are limited in respect to maximum level and throw range. Due to their sound characteristics they are especially suitable for live music.
The advantages of bandpass subwoofers can be found in the higher efficiency compared to bassreflex housings, as well as their smaller size compared to horn constructions. Bandpass subwoofers are suitable for small to medium-sized rooms where high sound pressure levels are needed.
Horn constructions convince by their mere power. Due to the horn directivity, they also throw at a greater distance than other housing shapes. This is why they are very popular for large open-air events. Their enormous bass pressure is also popular in discotheques and dance events.
