Under the name MIC, vocal microphones, speech microphones and microphones for musical instruments are united – surely the best quality Omnitronic has ever supplied. MIC 78PRO-C Condenser microphone

A condenser microphone for live singing? Considering back coupling it might be seen a bit critical. But there is no other microphone technology, which brings out every nuance of the human voice in such high quality. The MIC 78PRO-C portraits the voice in its entirety. Power supply for the condenser capsule is possible via phantom power provided by the mixer or an inserted AAA battery.

MIC 77-7LMH Drum microphone set

MIC 77L Bass drum microphone

The MIC 77L is a dynamic instrument microphone for recording low-frequency instruments such as bass drums or tubas. The large diaphragm reflects the low frequencies perfectly without acting slow or powerless. MIC RM-8 Ribbon microphone „Lolly“

A ribbon microphone with a high degree of linearity and an excellent impulse response. It‘s especially suitable for recording drum overheads, other instruments with high SPL and large dynamic range such as pianos and acoustic instruments - also for speech and vocals. The figure 8 pattern opens completely new possibilities in sound. The microphone is mechanically decoupled through the included shock-mount.

MIC CM-4 Condenser microphone

Clear sound and great frequency range. It comprises almost the entire spectrum of the human hearing (30 Hz to 18 KHz) and is therefore suited for a large variety of applications. MIC MM-1C Condenser measurement mic

The electret condenser microphone with an all-metall chassis has been specially designed for measuring speakers and PA systems. Polar pattern:

The sensitivity regarding the acoustic noise, that is what the polar pattern illustrates. To be more precise: It defines what directions can be heard by the microphone. The most important characteristics are:

Cardioid

A microphone with cardioid characteristic records the sound directly from the front – sounds from the back only at a low level. Thus, acoustic feedback is much better eliminated in comparison to omnidirectional types. They are perfectly suited for stages with a high sound level.

Supercardioid

Compared to the cardioid characteristic, the directional effect is even stronger. But sound that hits directly from the back has a higher impact – this can have consequences for the position of monitor speakers. Still the this characteristic is the one with the best feedback elimination. Works best when single sound sources must be recorded in loud environments.

Here, the sound from the front and from the back is received in equal high measure – sound from the sides only at a very low level. Well-known representative are ribbon microphones that record warm sounds with a bit of room ambiance.

Omnidirectional

Due to the form, the sound es equally recorded from every direction. An exact alignment can be renounced. As omnidirectional microphones tend to be very sensitive for feedback, they are normally not used on live stages.
